I will probably DM a 3.5 game. The adventure is the old classic `return to tomb of horrors'. Since the adventure boxset is for a AD&D I have to re-make all encounters. We decided to start as 18th level characters, so I need tough encounters. To warm up in the begin the party will fight ten low level undeads and an undead red dragon just after. The monster advancer seems a great way to make the encounter: I am in the www.monsteradvancer.com/ homepage, I click `Monster Advancer' and I seek the Great Wyrm Red Dragon in the central table and I apply the templates `Lich' and `Skeletal' . I simply select two feats: (Cleave and Unholy Toughness) and one magical item (Belt of Giant Strength.) But when I click the `Advance Creature' my feat selection is gone, there is only `Improved Initiative' Beside the stats do not count the belt or the templates! What I am doing wrong? Finally, there is a way to apply buffing spells? Thanks

As far as i can tell it actually doesn't... And there doesn't appear to be drop down on the creature type any more meaning it only advances Arboleths...
Shame looks good.

Edit: Ok seems to work fine for me once I look for the slider in the right place
My feat progression stays also. I'm advancing Goblins in fighter class.

Again... I now see what you mean, only the first feat on the skill progression appears.
But judging by the activity here I doubt there is much to be done about it.
Still thanks very much for this its a big help, even if I have to factor in the feats and their weapons myself, not all humans carry a longsword, etc.

You are simply running afoul of the way that the templates are currently setup. If you use the Skeletal template it overrides your feat selections. If you don't use the skeletal or zombie template you should be able to apply any feat progression you wish. The stats will get you the same way. The skeletal and zombie templates are two examples of templates with fixed stats. "A skeleton loses all feats of the base creature and gains Improved Initiative." "A skeleton’s Dexterity increases by +2, it has no Constitution or Intelligence score, its Wisdom changes to 10, and its Charisma changes to 1." With that in mind you should be able to alter the creature's strength and dex. Items will similarly have no affect on the "fixed stats". www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/skeleton.htmIf you avoid those two odd templates everything functions as you would expect. I am glad you still find value in the tools even if they don't quite do everything you would like. While updates are quite sparse these days the project is by no means abandoned. I continue to actively work on improvements and an overhaul that would allow full support for Pathfinder as well as 3.5.
