I think there should be generic monster types that we can build up from scratch, like... Having the main type of Outsider as a base monster, and being able to add its subtype, LA, racial bonuses and powers and other etcetera.

This is an excellent suggestion and one that is basically underway. I have a "creature entry" system partially built with the initial premise being to help me get missing creatures entered into the system by allowing others to help me out. It also will greatly expedite my getting a Pathfinder creature set out as I already have 90% of the Pathfinder rule set coded and unused at present. Aside from that a wanted side affect of creating this system will allow users to build their own creatures from scratch or based off any creature already in the database.
